Alastair Forbes is one of the funniest people we know. He doesn’t just make the families in the audience laugh, but his fellow volunteers too! He’s got years of comedic experience and continues to help make our shows better and better with all his tips and tricks. Every show with Alastair is a joy!

We asked Alastair Forbes a few questions so you can get to know this funny guy. See below!

1. What is your favourite thing about volunteering with Funnies?

My favorite thing is Kristie and Rock! They create such a warm friendly atmosphere. It’s always such a fun time! A close second would be meeting my new BFF Kevin at a Funnies show where we both discovered our shared passion for Disc Golf.

2. What do you do outside of volunteering?

Lots of Comedy! My sketch troupe the Lusty Mannequins is about to perform in TO Sketchfest and we’re gearing up for Edinburgh Fringe! This is second only to my passion for playing Disc Golf.

3. Who is the funniest in your family?

I would say me. My sister would say her. But my Mom would also say her. So objectively, it’s me.

4. What is your best comfort food?

Disc Golf.

5. Who are your favourite comedians? Let’s say top three. Local or beyond.

Top three is way too hard, so many! Rowan Atkinson, Tina Fey, Steve Carrell! Rob Baker, Jan Caruana, Ashley Botting, The rest of the Lusty Mannequins and Disc Golf!!
